We are in a quiet location in Buckden, off the main road (B6265/B6160 from Skipton to Aysgarth), tucked away up the lane beside the Buck Inn.
Buses run to Buckden via Grassington daily (not Sundays or Bank Holidays) from Skipton railway and bus stations (No. 72, Pride of the Dales) or from Ilkley railway station (No. 74, Pride of the Dales).
On Sundays from 4 May until 7 September, you can catch the DalesBus 874 from Ilkley, Bolton Abbey or Grassington direct to Buckden. Alternatively, you can travel on the scenic Settle-Carlisle Railway to Ribblehead Station and then catch the DalesBus 808 via Hawes and Aysgarth to Buckden.
We aim to offer special help to those using public transport, walking or cycling, so if you would like further travel information or walking and cycling routes, please call us. If you arrive by bus and produce your bus ticket we will provide free hot or cold drinks with any food you order in the tearooms. This is part of the Dales Bus Discount Scheme, run through the Yorkshire Dales National Park to promote use of public transport.
Car parking is available in the large car park at the northern end of the village. You’ll see our sign at the entrance to the car park. There are two tearooms in Buckden: the Village Tearooms at the side of the main road next to the car park, and ourselves tucked away further into the village. If you’re looking for us, head for the Buck Inn and walk up the lane beside it. You’ll soon see the West Winds Yorkshire Tearooms sign in the corner of our garden. We’ll have the kettle on!
